Yes, I am The Name Therapist.

I am ‘the’, not ‘a’, because as far as I know, I’m the only one.

Which, let’s be honest, is because I made it up, or rather, someone I am forever indebted to made it up and it became the title of my book.

But beyond that, I’m a Name Therapist because I believe that adults have all kinds of feelings about their names they never really get to discuss. Names stay with us our entire lives, and shape who we are long after our parents choose them.
